Via the book arts mailing list I received the following Email this morning by Judith Hoffman who was herself forwarding a message by Marc Snyder, excerpt:The Fiji Island Mermaid Press is proud to present “FREE FOR ALL”. This online exhibition of artist's books, found at http://www.fimp.net/freef.html, invites the viewer to download and assemble the books on display. The eight artists who have created books for this exhibition are Pati Bristow, Ginger Burrell, Warren Craghead III, Marti Haykin, Adele Henderson, Robert Hirsch, Judith Hoffman, and Marc Snyder. The exhibition will remain online indefinitely.I visited the webpage this morning and made some of the booklets, the results can be seen in the picture above. I think this is a fun idea! Here is my share, I put my HongKong mini book online as a pdf. To ensure sufficent quality for printing the file is rather large (7MB), sorry about that, all attempts to reduce the size yielded unreadable parts. Click here to download. Cut out along the visible frame, then cut and fold according to the instructions online at the FIMP webpage or according to this youtube instruction video. - Have fun"!
Heute kam auf der Buchkunst Mailingliste (Englisch) ein Hinweis auf die Webseite von FIMP, wo man eine Reihe von Mini-Büchern von Künstlern herunterladen und dann selbst zusammensetzten kann. Das erste Bild oben zeigt einige, die ich heute morgen gleich gemacht habe. Teilnehmende Künstler sind: Pati Bristow, Ginger Burrell, Warren Craghead III, Marti Haykin, Adele Henderson, Robert Hirsch, Judith Hoffman und Marc Snyder.
Ich finde das eine lustige Idee und beteilige mich mit meinem Minibüchlein HongKong (im Bild hier oben zu sehen). Leider musste ich die Dateil ziemlich groß lassen, damit einige der Scans lesbar bleiben, daher sind es 7 MB geworden. Das ist durchaus im Rahmen dessen, was man auch auf der besagten Webseite runterladen kann, aber ich hätte es gerne kleiner gehabt. Wer es seiner Internetverbindung zutraut, klickt hier zum herunterladen. Einfach entlang des schwarzen Rahmens ausschneiden und dann entweder den Answeisungen auf der FIMP - Seite oder diesem Youtube-Video hier folgen. - Viel Spaß!

Dass du in der Zines-Szene mitmachst, freut mich sehr. Ich habe diese mutigen, kreativen und unabhänigen Geister immer sehr geschätzt.
I'm just about to go away for a few days so I will download all your interesting links when I return. I'm going to Canberra and Sydney for some workshops that Ed Hutchins from New York is giving. We don't often get US book artists visiting Australia so I am looking forward to his classes. Your edition looks wonderful, you must be very pleased with the result.
